To promote the rapid development of the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" construction, a group of experts led by Jiang Zhigang, vice chairman of the National Silk Road Planning Research Center, visited the Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall on 6 January 2022, accompanied by Lin Youhua, executive deputy director of the management committee of Fuqing Functional Zone.
During the visit, curator Chen Jianzhong briefed Executive Deputy Director Lin Youhua and the group of experts about the construction of the memorial hall. Vice Chairman Jiang Zhigang learned in detail about Mr. Liem Sioe Liong's business acumen, global vision, arduous entrepreneurship, building of a business empire, and other legendary history, and asked from time to time about Mr. Liem Sioe Liong's early investment and donation projects in his hometown.
At the Qinghua Sugar Plant exhibition, Vice Chairman Jiang Zhigang and his entourage reviewed the situation of China's foreign exchange reserves in the 1980s and expressed his immense admiration for the kind deeds of Mr. Liem Sioe Liong in leading overseas Chinese to jointly fund the establishment of Qinghua Sugar Plant with US 10 million to repay his hometown.
