On 12 April, Li Minghuan, vice president of the Overseas Chinese History Society of China, consultant of the Overseas Chinese History Society of Fujian Province and professor of the School of Public Affairs of Xiamen University, as well as a group of four experts and scholars from the Research Center of Fujian Overseas Chinese Think-Tank Fuzhou University of Fujian Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese visited the Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall.
Professor Li and the group toured the four exhibition halls. At the end of the visit, Lin Sheng, vice president and secretary-general of the Overseas Chinese History Society of Fujian Province, and director and professor of the Research Center of Fujian Overseas Chinese Think-Tank Fuzhou University said that Liem Sioe Liong's spirit of charity, love for his family and hometown is worth learning and passing on.
Yang Jianhuang, a member of the Research Center of Fujian Overseas Chinese Think-Tank Fuzhou University said that through the visit to the Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall, he is deeply impressed by the patriotic spirit of overseas Chinese, and their love for hometown and motherland. Although they strived hard abroad, they never forgot to give back to their hometowns and the society. They made great contributions to the construction of their hometowns and are the role models for us.
