CPC members of the 4th Party Branch of Fujian Water Investment Group Fuqing Water Co., Ltd were organized to visit the historic sites in the Ruiyan Mountain where Qi Jiguang fought against the Japanese pirates, and the Fuqing Overseas Chinese Museum Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall on 21 March. The visit, a themed Party Day event cum political birthday celebration, aimed to empower the party members from the past and present by reflecting on history, carrying forward the legacy and fulfilling the water service duties.

At the Ruiyan Mountain Scenic Reserve, restored with donations from Mr. Liem Sioe Liong, the party members explored the historic sites where Qi Jiguang-led troops fought the Japanese pirates, reminiscing about his heroic years of military service marked by devotion to the nation, courage to protect the people, pragmatic innovation and a strong sense of duty. The experience deeply reinforced patriotic values and renewed commitment to Party principles.

Touring the four exhibition halls, the party members gained an in-depth understanding of Mr. Liem Sioe Liong’s legendary entrepreneurial journey and his moving stories of selfless dedication to his hometown. Through the docent’s explanations and the museum’s rich collection, they were further inspired by the patriotic devotion and perseverance of this generation of overseas Chinese leaders.

The Party Branch presented birthday cards to members celebrating their political birthdays, encouraging them to remain true to their original aspirations and keep their mission firmly in mind. The event not only ignited patriotic fervor but also strengthened Party spirit, inspiring everyone to fulfill their responsibilities at work with greater dedication and concrete actions. Party members unanimously pledged to honour the legacy of past leaders by channeling their dedication into advancing sustainable growth of the company.
