On 4th April, Qingming Festival – a time to honour ancestors and reflect on the past – Yinfu Oils & Fats Industries Co., Ltd organized a delegation of veteran and new employees, led by their director Chen Hui, to visit the Liem Sioe Liong Memorial Hall. The visit served to pay heartfelt tribute to the company’s founder Mr. Liem Sioe Liong.

The employees entered the solemn and dignified hall, lining up in orderly rows to present flower baskets and bow in respect before Mr. Liem Sioe Liong’s seated statue. Guided by a docent, they then toured four themed exhibition halls, gaining a deeper understanding of Mr. Liem Sioe Liong’s arduous entrepreneurial journey and his contributions to his hometown’s reform and opening-up.

At the Yuanhong Investment Zone exhibit in Hall 3, the docent zoomed in on a photo of Yinfu Oils & Fats displayed on a touchscreen, where the five-star red flag fluttered prominently at the centre. Seeing their company’s image, the employees grew visibly moved, excitedly gathering for group photos in front of the screen.

In the Contributions by Fuqing Clansmen section, floor-sensing projections automatically activated with visitors’ footsteps, while a circular light belt highlighted the philanthropic and investment contributions made by overseas Fuqing clansmen to their hometown. This captivated the group, touched by the profound sincerity of overseas clansmen. 

In Hall 4, everyone watched attentively as a video played Mr. Liem Sioe Liong’s speech, delivered in his native Fuqing dialect, a detail that resonated deeply with the visitors.

Thirty years ago, Mr. Liem Sioe Liong founded Yinfu Oils & Fats; thirty years later, its employees stood in his memorial hall. This visit not only honoured the founder’s legacy but also kindled a renewed vigour to strive forward in the new era.
